Content created by Professor Deborah Lipstadt in conjunction with Maureen MacLaughlin and Dan Leshem. دعوی: انکارکنندگان هولوکاست می‏گویند که مقامات موزه آشویتز تأیید کرده‏اند که اتاق گاز در آشویتز 1 (اردوگاه اصلی) ساختگی است. دیوید ایروینگ (David Irving)، که دادگاه عالی لندن وی را انکارکننده هولوکاست، نژادپرست و ضدیهود خوانده است، می‏نویسد: "... روزنامه فرانسوی اکسپرس (L'Express) اذعان کرده است که اتاق گازی که به توریست‏ها در آشویتز نشان داده می‏شود ساختگی است و آن را کمونیست‏های لهستانی سه سال پس از جنگ ساختند."

پاسخ: کوره 1 در اردوگاه اصلی "ساختگی" نیست و فضایی است که به صورت اصلی بازسازی شده تا بنای یادبود و نماد تمامی اتاق‏های گاز و کوره‏های مجتمع اردوگاه آشویتز باشد.
